The beach bar was lots of fun, too. I do not recommend this place, especially since you can find a much nicer all-inclusive for less money. Read more. Date of stay: August Cleanliness. Sleep Quality. The 5 Star rating is based on the travelers experience. When they have a wonderful experience Trip Advisor allows you to rate it with a max of 5 stars. That's the scale, it is not or So when the guest is having a great time it is a 5 star experience. Now that we have made that clear, lets review Yes we have a family section and the swim up bar has 2 side. Children side for Mocktails, and an adults side. Maybe you went to the children's bar?

The restaurants do not have similar menus. Silk is Asian, and clearly you cannot get Chicken Tika Marsala in Seaside which is Italian, and in Calabash you cannot get spaghetti and meatballs. So please the menus are not similar. Yes they have meat fish and chicken so in that fact they are indeed similar Breakfast seats at a time, plus the Veranda that seats 40 for breakfast.

That is seats once time. So the line is really just getting you sat fast enough while you wait and we clear tables. I which I could build a restaurant that could seat everyone at one time all guest. But I know you don't build a Church for Easter Sunday, so we do our best to get you in and out fast. We found that the average time for breakfast is 32 minutes.

We try. In the end you may not have had the 5 star experience, and I am sorry. But thank you for the areas to focus on that we can manage better. The hotel is a very good standard always clean, comfortable and the food is very good with a good range to chose from. Then we go on to the staff this has to be the resorts number one benefit from Virginia looking after your room to Osline finding you a seat in the restaurant, Ninder , kenny and Aurea looking after you in the restaurant and then Dillan, Mitch and Jessie J looking after the drinks all day, it seems mean not to mention every one but this review would go on a long time!!

Date of stay: March Trip type: Traveled with family. Roger, The team is amazing which after the 1st time is easy to see why, and then after number 6 it just keeps getting better Thank you for the wonderful review See you on number 7! Safe Journeys always Zachary. Griffith wrote a review Aug Destination Wedding My destination wedding was at this Resort this past May and it was wonderful, I would recommend anyone planning a destination wedding to consider this resort. The off site wedding coordinator Sarai was wonderful, pleasant, very helpful through out the whole planning process up until you travel to the resort, she made sure every detail was in place.

My wedding party was kind of big, ended up being 50 guest, one of the major problems I had was with Nicole aka Nikki who books the rooms for guest. I had complaints from multiple guest that they were charged the wrong price, wrong room because there is not a big difference in price for the different rooms, many guest just kept the room they were charged for or they received confirmation emails that were for other attending guest. I complained multiple times and up until the final payments of the trip I still received complaints from guest.

I tried to contact the supervisor Trish, we continued to miss each other calls, after multiple calls I decided to leave a lengthy message. Her response was she spoke with Nikki and per Nikki there was no known problem or situation Nikki was emailed on multiple occasions as stated above there were problems until the last payments so she was no help.

I finally spoke to Nikki at one point she was very pleasant and apologetic. IMO I would recommend that more than one person should book the rooms for large wedding parties, in the end I just think it was to much for one person to handle. On the actual resort you will have on-site wedding coordinators Barbara and Onita and again just wonderful, accommodating, they go over every detail with you making sure everything goes perfect for your big day. All the staff was wonderful, rooms clean, premium liquor and all my guest loved the Jerk Hut, the food was really good, Maurice and the staff there were great.

Everything was beautiful the day of the wedding everything I wanted and expected, but nothing is ever perfect. I did the platinum wedding package with includes the DJ, I recommend if you are able to afford to, bring your own DJ. So the days leading up to the wedding the resort's DJs were more young and in tune with today's music at least the top A month before my wedding I emailed a list of songs I wanted played during the reception. During the reception while food was being served music that was not on our list was played, this was not the type of music my guest, husband or myself listen to, actually most of our music list was music we had guest write down that they would like to hear during the reception.

It got to the point where my husband got very upset and I asked Barbara to have the DJ start playing music from our list. IMO I hope not to offend anyone but the DJ was a bit older to me looked to be in his late 50's, I feel that he wanted to play slow, mellow music during that part of the reception, which I understand, however I had plenty of slow music on the list but because of the age difference I'm 34 maybe majority of the songs he did not know and wasn't sure what was slow and what songs were upbeat.

Even after Barbara spoke with him nothing changed, I had many guest complain asking "what's up with the DJ", I even went up to the DJ booth and made sure he had our list and it was right in front of him! When he finally started to play our music it was because our best man stayed at the DJ booth, coached him and picked out what songs to play. In the end we had a great time, everyone got on the dance floor and had fun, but I was very disappointed with the DJ appointed for our wedding reception. The best part of the wedding is the reception, everyone looks forward to great food, good liquor and great music and that last part they dropped the ball.

Lastly, I did use the photographer from the resort, the pictures came out very nice, Kendall and his team did a great job taking us around the resort to get the best back drops and photo-ops. We really enjoyed ourselves, all my guest had a great time and said this trip was one of the best. My husband and I do plan on returning for our anniversity ….

Date of stay: May Cleanliness. Congratulations again. I fully agree that my team on site is amazing, they are the ones that deliver on the promise. Thank you for mentioning them. I am so proud of those ladies. I also want to thank you for the kind words about the resort, the food, the drinks and all the staff members that created such lasting memories that you will be back for your anniversary!!

Thanks again Safe Journey Zachary. Debbie M wrote a review Aug Seaford, New York 11 contributions 10 helpful votes. Amazing Family Vacation!! We had a wonderful trip to Coconut Bay Resort. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. I did see what people were saying about the seaweed at the beach. It is true, but the pools are so nice at the resort, so this didn't bother us too much. All the pools are amazing and there are plenty of chairs throughout the resort. The drinks are top Notch! I also see what people were saying about the staff.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurants are great, and they also have fast food by the pool good for snacks midday. There were fun shows and entertainment at night. We also loved the massages at the spa. The rooms are adequate. Not tremendous but I thought we had enough storage space. We traveled with our 19 and 22 year olds and they also had a great time. We stayed on the Harmony side. Don't miss the Harmony Breakfast at the Veranda, it is amazing! I also highly recommend doing the mud bath excursion and the waterfall. That was a great trip, but a bit of a ride to the other side.

Be prepared if you get carsick because the roads are very windy. Also great about the resort is that it is only 5 minutes from the airport! Thanks to Jervonnie and the others who are there to greet you with a drink when you arrive! Overall great family trip! We would return. Date of stay: July Value. The resort is located close to the south tip of the island, facing the Atlantic. As with most of the Caribbean, the temperature remains the same year-round, regardless of the side. It is on the Atlantic side, ocean is a little rougher, but has a wonderful breeze to keep you cool in the hot sun!

Just less breeze. Atlantic side - I didn't notice a temperature difference but it is slightly windier and has waves. Coconut Bay is on the Atlantic side of the island, but I am not sure which side would have the warmer water--I assume it would be the Caribbean side. What includes in the honeymoon package?

Room Information

Water was calm, but it was brown and dirty. The resort is on the Atlantic side of the island, so the ocean is quite choppy on the beach. There was lots of debris -- seaweed, sticks, etc -- in the surf all the time. It's dramatic and noisy, but I didn't want to swim in it.

A few people did, and it would be fine for strong swimmers. I would not let young children swim in it. The good news is the pools are amazing, there is no need to go in the ocean. There are no lifeguards, but the beach is protected by a reef or series of large rocks so it is calm enough for safe swimming. You can go further down the beach for kite-surfing also. If I want to rent a car, is there a rental place nearby? There's car rental at the airport, that looks to be the closest currently.

I saw no need for a car, especially since they drive on the other side of the road. You can rent a car through the front desk.

Coconut Bay has beach access and it certainly is adequate but it is on the Atlantic side and thus more rough and the beach gets a lot of seaweed debris, which they do a reasonably good job of continually raking away. There are certainly better beach resorts on the north end but you'll pay for them. It has a beach access but it's filled with seaweed and is a little rough. I may have got in the water if I could get past all the seaweed but here you are not on the carribean side.

The carribean side is very calm and no seaweed we took a trip there and it was 45 minutes atleast to get to a beach you could swim. I personally go to carribean just for this reason the blue water and stay in all day but was very disappointed I couldn't even get in. I would walk the beach everyday and get the seaweed all on my feet but I didn't care so much about it on my feet.

Put it this way it's so rough on this side their big thing is to kite surf. There are several beach access areas. We stayed on the harmony adults only side which had a couple accesses. No problem getting to the beach at all. Entertainment 5 answers. How is the entertainment? Especially at night at the resort? There are many bars open until 1am at the resort, for nightly activities, please check with the resort directly as they change weekly. Entertainment at the resort is included, the music, dancing, drinks, transportation if going to a beach that's a little far to walk, all of it is included.

Some nights were pretty good out at the blu bar but ends at about You then can go upstairs to listen to the dj until but no later than that. During the day not so much I am used to the entertainment staff being at the pool even getting in the pool having dance competitions and playing water volleyball and all kinds of stuff not here. We stayed "off season" June which normally has little entertainment at most resorts that we have stayed at.

This resort offered a theme night two nights that we were there which had great live entertainment. The other nights that were not themed still has some type of music. There was also a bar upstairs that was kind of cool. We did not really go off the resort at night so I can not say for sure about that. What is the beach like? Calm or wavy? Is it private? Is it clean? Is there seaweed? The palm trees and lush tropical plants just a few yards from the water make for an intimate setting. There isn't much beach on this resort.

The beach that there is there is TONS of seaweed. They do have someone plowing it everyday but still there is really only one corner on this resort u can sit and "beach" The water is calm. The resort does have shuttles to take you to other beaches. The beach is great and private.

It's clean, although there is an issue with seaweed. Is Your Question for CheapCaribbean. Contact our Customer Support team.
